Professor Pawan Budhwar

Biography

Professor Pawan Budhwar is the 50th Anniversary Professor of International Human Resource Management at Aston Business School and Associate Deputy Vice-Chancellor (International) at Aston University. He served as Head and Dean of Aston Business School from September 2020 to April 2023. He is Co-Editor-in-Chief of the Human Resource Management Journal (2021–2026) and a Consulting Editor of the Journal of International Business Studies, having previously served seven years as Co-Editor-in-Chief of the British Journal of Management (2014–2020). He is Co-Vice Chair for Research and Publications of the British Academy of Management and co-founder and first President of the Indian Academy of Management. He has published more than 160 articles in leading journals and written or co-edited over thirty books, attracting in excess of 38,000 citations. He is a Fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences, the Higher Education Academy and the British Academy of Management, and advised the Commonwealth Commission for six years.
