Biography

Dr David Yao Mensah (PhD, PMDPro, MSc) is a Statistician, M&E Expert, a Capacity Building Expert, Project Management Professional, a Social Researcher as well as Data Manager by training and has been involved in Social Research in a wide field of endeavours, M&E, Data Management and Analysis. David has been a researcher with immense experience in the areas of medical and public health research having been a principal investigator and Co-Principal Investogator in several studies since 1995. David has actively partaken in several baseline, mid-term and final evaluation studies as well as partaken in a couple of data quality audits in M&E. David’s key areas of specialty are in Statistical modelling, Data Management and Analyses (especially in the areas of large surveys), Research and Survey Management, Capacity Building in the areas of M&E, systems development and lecturing, having done a PhD in Statistics with Thesis titled A Review of Estimation Techniques in Generalized Linear Mixed Models with Application to Disease Impact Modelling. David has immense experience supervising staff, in human resources management, procurement, budgeting and financial management, management of contracted technical experts and consultants, development of TORs, etc., as a project manager. David further has experience in leading inter-disciplinary and multi-cultural M&E teams and managing several major activities simultaneously, high level competency in writing and editing of professional technical reports and other written products in English, experience managing USAID and international donor funded projects and programs in Research, M&E, including compliance with U.S. Government rules, regulations and procedures
