Entry requirements
- Candidates with at least a Master’s degree in Statistics can be admitted directly into the PhD programme.
- Candidate with a Master’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics or Mathematics/Statistics related discipline having CGPA of 3.0 or better, with no more than one grade C+ or lower in Research Methods can be admitted directly into the PhD programme but must audit some selected prescribe courses from the MSc Statistics programme.
- English language: IELTS 7.0 (no band below 6.5) or equivalent for international applicants
- A statement of purpose (500-1,000 words) that explains the candidate's motivation for pursuing the PhD Statistics programme, career goals, and how the program aligns with their professional aspirations.
- All foreign qualifications shall be referred to the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission for determination of equivalences and eligibility for admission.
- Online Graduate Interview
- Two academic or professional recommendation letters
Graduation requirements
- Participate in at least four seminars and three conferences Present a dissertation with original research (90 credits) and pass the Viva Voce
- Present three mandatory seminars Submit all necessary forms to file for graduation
- Satisfy all financial obligations to the university Complete all degree requirements within the approved timeline
- Students are encouraged to publish at least one paper.
