MPhil Information Technology

The MPhil in Information Technology is a research-oriented programme designed to develop students’ ability to conduct original investigations that contribute to the advancement of knowledge in the field. Entry requirements

  • A first degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information System and Computer Engineering or any other programme in a related field (Second Class Upper or better), OR a relevant taught master's
  • English language: IELTS 6.5 (no band below 6.0) or equivalent for international applicants
  • All foreign qualifications shall be referred to the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission for determination of equivalences and eligibility for admission.
  • A statement of purpose (500-1,000 words) that explains the candidate's motivation for pursuing the Doctor of Statistics and Data Science program, career goals, and how the program aligns with their professional aspirations.
  • Selection of candidates for admission to any programmes shall be by an online interview.
  • Two academic or professional recommendation letters

Graduation requirements

  • A successful graduate should have passed all registered courses and dissertation and achieved a cumulative average of not less than 1.5 at the end of the programme.
  • satisfy the requirements of the programme of study and all University requirements for graduation.
