MPhil Business Administration

The MPhil in Business Administration programme is designed to address the qualities and managerial know-how that student needs to function as effective and efficient professionals. Students will have the opportunity to make an organisational impact through their applied research. This programme is designed to: 1. Develop students to have a sound understanding of the relevant conceptual and theoretical underpinnings of their chosen area of research in business and management. 2. allow students gain a detailed understanding of applicable techniques for research and advanced academic and management enquiry. 3. Enhance performance of students as reflective practitioners in professional practice. 4. Gain the ability to devise a workable strategy for organisations. 5. Entry requirements

  • Applicants with a BSc/BA first degree (at least 2nd class lower) in business from any recognised university may be considered for admission into the MPhil degree.
  • Holders of professional qualification (for example, Chartered ACCA, CIMA) must be chartered
  • Holders of international equivalent to a degree (for example, Level 6 Diploma in the UK) or graduate diploma. Such equivalence must be approved/confirmed by the National Accreditation Board (NAB).
  • English language: IELTS 6.5 (no band below 6.0) or equivalent for international candidates
  • Selection of candidates for admission to any programmes shall be by an online interview.
  • Two academic or professional recommendation letters

Graduation requirements

  • Complete all required coursework and attend all seminars and Pass the taught courses (with a pass mark of 60%)
  • Participate in at least two seminars and conferences. • Present a thesis with original research and pass the Viva Voce.
  • Present at least one publishable paper. • Submit all necessary forms to file for graduation.
  • Complete all degree requirements within the approved timeline.
