Entry requirements
- WASSCE: credits (A1–C6) in English Language, Core Mathematics, one other core subject and three relevant elective subjects. SSSCE; Compulsory Subjects - Grade D or better in three (3) core subjects, including English and Mathematics (Core) and Elective Subjects – Grade D or better in three (3) elective subjects.
- General Certificate of Education (GCE) Advanced Level Passes in three (3) subjects (at least, one of the passes should be Grade D or better). Also, the applicant must have had credit passes (Grade 6) in five GCE Ordinary Level subjects including English, Mathematics and a Science subject (for non-science students) and an Arts subject for Science students. Advanced Business Certificate Examination (ABCE) Passes in three (3) subjects (at least, one of the passes should be Grade D or better). Also, the applicant must have had credit passes in five (5) subjects including English Language, Mathematics, Integrated Science or Social Studies in the General Business Certificate Examination (GBCE).
- Mature applicants (25+) considered with at least five (5) years of relevant work experience and an entrance exam
- English language: IELTS 6.0 (no band below 5.5) or equivalent for international applicants
- All foreign qualifications should be referred to the National Accreditation Board (NAB) for determination of equivalences and eligibility for admission to tertiary institutions in Ghana
- A personal statement of interest with maximum 500-word count
Graduation requirements
- General Education Requirements - 41 credits, Business Foundation Requirements - 42 credits, School Core Requirements - 33 credits, Speciality/Major Requirements - 27 credits. TOTAL 143 credits
- Course Requirements; To earn a degree from Southshore University College and to qualify for graduation, a student must complete: (i) a general education requirement courses ; (ii) a common foundation and core courses outlined by respective School; (iii) speciality/major requirement courses specified by an academic department; (iv) a combination of free electives, for some programmes, and long essay/project work to complement the degree programme; (v) earn a grade of “D” or higher in all core and elective courses within specialised area of study, and achieve a minimum total of credit hours specified, and have obtained at least a weighted average of at least 1.5, or grade “D” in any failed course; and (vi) satisfy the requirements of the student’s respective programmes of study and satisfy all university requirements for graduation.
