As part of our ongoing Tracer Studies at TALI Graduate School, we recently visited one of our PhD students, Mr. Samuel Danso, at his workplace to learn more about his professional journey and how his studies are translating into real-world impact.
Samuel is an entrepreneur and business owner with interests across different sectors. He is the owner of Samwend Pharmacy, located at Kokrobite, opposite the Government Hospital, and Hilltop Logistics in Tema. He is also involved in shipping, importation and the clearance of goods at the port.
During our conversation, Samuel shared how his PhD journey has contributed to the way he approaches his businesses and professional responsibilities.
From decision-making and strategic thinking to dealing with difficult employees and workplace challenges, he explained that the knowledge and perspectives gained through his studies are helping him navigate these situations differently.
For us, this is what makes tracer studies meaningful.
It gives us an opportunity to move beyond the classroom and see how the knowledge gained by our students is being applied in their businesses, workplaces and everyday professional lives.
Samuel’s journey is a reminder that postgraduate education is not only about earning a qualification. It is also about gaining knowledge that can shape how we think, lead, make decisions and create impact.
