The Foundation is Laid
Dominion University College is founded by Action Chapel International. With a pioneering spirit, they establish an institution dedicated to learning and community service in Ghana, creating the legacy upon which we now build. We honour their vision and express our deep gratitude for laying these foundational stones.
A New Chapter of Stewardship
The African Leadership Institute (TALI), a visionary organisation dedicated to forging Africa's next generation of ethical and entrepreneurial leaders, assumes stewardship of the university. This marks a pivotal moment, infusing the institution with a new, specific, and urgent mandate: to actively build the future of the continent by producing its future leaders.
A Period of Strategic Preparation
Under TALI's leadership, these years were a critical period of deep reflection, analysis, and meticulous planning. We studied the global landscape of education and industry, listened to the needs of employers, and architected a new, purpose-built educational model designed to meet the demands of the 21st century's innovation economy.
A New Light Dawns
On November 1, 2025, the transformation is made manifest. Dominion University College officially becomes Southshore University College, with a new name, a new mission, and a bold new promise to the world: From Africa, A New Light. This launch marks the beginning of our journey to become a fully chartered, independent, and world-class university.
