Our Path to a Chartered Future.
A central goal of our five-year strategic plan is to achieve a Presidential Charter, the highest level of accreditation for a university in Ghana.
What is a Presidential Charter?
A Presidential Charter is the official recognition from the Government of Ghana, granted upon the recommendation of the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC), that a university has demonstrated the highest standards of academic quality, institutional governance, and financial stability. It is the ultimate validation of a university's model and its readiness to operate as a fully independent national asset.
Our Journey to a Charter
Our Valued Partnership
We are deeply grateful for our current affiliation with the esteemed University of Cape Coast (UCC), which serves as the awarding institution for our degrees as we build our unique model.
Building the Case
Our entire strategic plan—from achieving prestigious international programmatic accreditations to documenting the success of our innovative applied learning model—is designed to build a comprehensive and compelling case for our charter application.
The Final Step
In 2024, we formally submitted our application to GTEC. We are confident that by demonstrating the success and sustainability of our unique educational model, we will achieve our goal of becoming a fully chartered university by the end of 2026.
Achieving this charter will be the ultimate milestone in our journey, solidifying our position as a new, independent, and world-class university—a true beacon from Africa.
